Quick start
- Use Project actions → Open example to practise with two facades.
- Click a facade. Its settings appear on the right.
- Choose a bond on the right. Check brick sizes and joints on the left.
- Open Brick list to see the calculated bricks.
- Choose Save and use Download to keep your own design file.
For guidance, open the ? menu: Tour, Help guide or Help video. The tour offers quick, standard and extended options.
Your workspace
The top row contains Project actions · ? · Open · Download · Save. The row below opens Design, Phases, Brick list and exchange actions. Project settings and facades are on the left; details of the selected facade or opening are on the right.
Drag panel edges for more space. Use the arrow to collapse or expand a panel. Widths and expanded sections are retained after refreshing. Choose NL or EN at the top left; your own facade names stay unchanged.
| Action | Control |
|---|---|
| Pan | Hold the middle mouse button and drag. |
| Rotate | Hold Ctrl and the middle mouse button and drag. |
| Zoom | Turn the mouse wheel towards the cursor position. |
| Select | Click a facade or opening. Use Ctrl/Shift for multiple facades. |
| Undo | Use Undo or Ctrl + Z. |
Right-click for model actions such as fit, isolate, hide and show all. The 3D, Elevation and Plan views are inside the drawing area.
Drawing facades
- Set the Main grid and snap grid. The main grid sets out the overall dimensions; the snap grid helps with precise points.
- Choose Draw and place the wall on the left or right of the line, looking from start to end.
- Click the start point. Move the cursor to preview the next facade and its length.
- Click the next corners. Choose Finish when ready, or Esc to cancel.
Drawing a building outline counterclockwise is convenient. Both directions work; always check which side of the line contains the masonry.
Select a facade to edit its name, height and base level. Click its length label for an exact value. Connected facades may move with it.
Bricks, joints and bonds
Under Brick and joint, set dimensions and colour. A vertical joint separates bricks in the same course; a bed joint separates two courses.
Choose a preset or Wild bond under Applied bond. Use the bond designer to edit a normal bond's courses. Each course has a start, repeating middle and end.
Save a bond in the library on this device, or export it for another device. Create a variant when you want to change one version while keeping the original.
Check the selected facades and applied bond. Material settings belong to the project; several facades may share a bond.
Calculating a wild bond
- Choose Wild bond and open its settings.
- Set the header and stretcher distribution, overlap, cut pieces and corner rules.
- Choose Apply and calculate.
- Inspect the result, especially at corners, openings and facade ends.
A saved settings set transfers the rules while keeping current brick dimensions. The rules apply to every facade using that bond.
After a change, the saved result may be outdated. Calculate again. Brick lists and Drawing export are not ready while the result is missing or outdated.
Openings and facade shape
- Select exactly one facade.
- Under Openings on the right, choose a window or door opening.
- Select the opening in the model or list.
- Drag it into position, drag an edge to resize it, or click a dimension label to enter an exact value.
Moving keeps width and height unchanged. Resizing an edge keeps the opposite edge fixed. A door stays at base level. Check messages about overlap, contours and brick dimensions.
Use Facade shape to define a different top edge, such as a slope. Points run from left to right and must meet both facade ends.
An isolated elevation includes the shared corner brick from the adjacent facade. It is shown to explain the connection; it is not an extra brick.
Working with phases
Use Phases for groups such as First floor or Delivery 2. Create a phase with a number and name. Select facades, then choose Assign selection to this phase.
The current phase applies to new facades. Existing facades only move when assigned. You can select all objects in a phase, show only that phase or hide it.
When deleting a phase, choose a destination phase. The facades are kept. Phase changes support Undo and are saved in the design.
Brick list and files
Open Brick list. Each brick type shows dimensions, corner information, quantity and net m². Quantities per facade appear below.
- Choose the whole project or a phase under List & Drawing.
- Check that there is no missing or outdated wild-bond message.
- Choose Download CSV for the list, or CSV beside one facade for that facade.
The CSV is separated by semicolons and also includes colour and volume in m³. An L-shaped corner strip counts as one item, including its return dimensions.
Use To Drawing to send the selected phase or whole project to the drawing workspace. It uses the same calculated bricks and display colours.
Saving and Timber exchange
Save stores the design and colour choices locally on this device. Refreshing restores the last saved design. Open shows your designs; use Import file to open a downloaded design.
Download creates a design file for your own copy or another device. Browser storage is not a shared cloud folder. Up to 20 designs can be saved locally; download older designs before deleting them.
Working with Timber
Use To Timber for the building envelope, or export/import it through Project actions. An incoming Timber envelope is a locked reference. Edit timber in Timber and masonry in Masonry. The brick list only counts your own masonry.
Troubleshooting
- I cannot see any bricks.
- Check whether the facade is hidden or the display is filtered. A wild bond needs a complete, current calculation.
- Adding an opening is disabled.
- Select one facade and make sure its bond has been calculated.
- Hiding a facade does not change quantities.
- Hiding only changes the view. Use the phase choice under List & Drawing to limit the list.
- A saved solution does not match the settings.
- Calculate again. Do not transfer an outdated list.
- Save does not work.
- Use Download to keep a design file. Browser storage may be full or blocked.
